Dan Devenport - Head Coach

While serving also as the Hockey Operation's Manager of MAHA, Dan is currently coaching his ninth season in MAHA where he has head coached the Peewee A2, the Bantam A, Advanced Mites, and Mite Coordinator. Dan also spent six years as the assistant varsity coach at Mankato East High School. Dan is originally from Willmar and went to Mankato St. University where he also helped coach Summer baseball camps for the college. Though Dan is not married, and has no kids, he does have a black lab named Hobey-Baker.

John Shain - Assistant Coach

John is a Mankato West graduate who has been helping in MAHA for six seasons. John has coached with the Bantam A, Peewee A, and Advanced Mites in his tenure with MAHA as well as serving as a Junior Achievement Mentor. John works at Bolton-Menk as a GIS Specialist, is married, and just had his first child back in May.

RuthAnn Kragh - Head Coach

RuthAnn comes to us from Cheboygan Michigan, Western Michigan University where she was a college player. RuthAnn wears many hats for MAHA as she is the Head U12 coach, the lead instructor for the Girls I.P., and is also the team manager for one of our mini mite teams. RuthAnn brings with her 10 years of coaching experience as she has been the head coach at both Bemidji St. and Western Michigan, as well as an assistant coach for MSU and assistant with the Lake Placid Olympic Development camp. RuthAnn is married with two children, both of which play in MAHA, and is employed at Bethany Lutheran College as their Registrar.

Tom Cusey

Tom is in his fourth year coaching hockey, and second year coaching in MAHA. Tom comes to us from Grand Rapids where he was part of a rich hockey tradition, and furthered his hockey career playing at Itasca Community College. A detective for the Mankato Police Department, Tom is married with two kids (both in MAHA), Tom also coaches MAGFA softball when he is not hunting or involved in hockey.

Cory Kanstrup

A diesel mechanic at Mankato Mack and Volvo, Cory is in his second year of coaching in MAHA. Cory grew up playing football, wrestling, softball, and backyard hockey. Cory is married with four girls, and enjoys spending time with his family in his spare time as well as waterskiing, boating, snowmobiling, and watching NASCAR.

Scott St. Pierre - Head Coach

Kirk Swenson

A native of LeSueur, Kirk grew up playing hockey in the Bulldog association. Kirk is in his second year of coaching in MAHA, both in the in house program. Kirk is also an AWANA Group Leader, Kindergarten boys Sunday school teacher, and YMCA football volunteer. Kirk is married with four kids (two in MAHA), and is employed as a fire claim representative for State Farm Insurance. In his spare time Kirk enjoys tennis, hunting, riding motorcycle, and flying as a private pilot.

Paul Allan - Assistant Coach

Scott Geyer

Scott is in his third season coaching youth hockey in Mankato, all done in the mini mite and mite program. Scott grew up playing hockey in Illinois and South Dakota, and is currently playing in the men's "C" league here in town. As Scott puts it, he is married to a "very understanding" hockey mom, and is the father of three kids....two of which are in MAHA at the moment. Scott also coaches in MAYBA over the Summer.

Conrad Kelm - Assistant Coach

A native of Moosehorn Manitoba, Conrad grew up playing hockey in the Ashern minor hockey association. Conrad is currently in his second year of coaching in MAHA and has two kids playing in it as well. Married with three kids, Conrad is employed as Controller of Ridley Inc. In his spare time he enjoys curling, spending time with his family, and playing men's league hockey.

Brian Peterson - Assistant Coach

Brian is in his first year of coaching in MAHA, where his step son is a player. Brian played hockey through varsity and is employed as a design engineer.

Ken Bentson - Head Coach

Kent is in his fourth year of coaching in MAHA, all at the in house level. A husband and father of four, Kent currently has one child playing in MAHA with four more on the way. Kent is employed as a Physicians Assistant at the ISJ Clinic and enjoys pretty much anything done outdoors when he is not coaching.

Bob Stockman - Assistant Coach

A Native of Hastings, Minnesota, Bob actually coaches two in house teams for us here in Mankato and is in his third year of doing so. Bob played all of the way through the program in Hastings and continued his hockey through intramurals in college, and is currently playing in the Mankato Men's "C" league. Bob is a Process Engineer for CHS, is married to wife Sarah, and has two children who both play in MAHA.

Brian Hoppe - Assistant Coach

A Mankato native, Brian has been playing hockey in Mankato for 30 years. Currently in his tenth year of coaching hockey in MAHA, Brian has coached from ponies through bantams, where he currently serves as the assistant coach of our Bantam A team as well. The store Manager at Gander Mountain, Brian enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing in his spare time. Not only is Brian married with two kids, but he is quite proud of his British Lab named Gretzky! Great name Brian!
