Congratulations to both our U12 and U10 teams for both finishing second in this past weekend's Willmar tournament. The U12 team defeated both Hutchinson and Sartell 5-3 before losing to Sauk Rapids in the Championship game. The U10 team defeated Sauk Rapids 3-1 and Willmar 11-0 before losing a hearbreakter to St. Francis in the championship game.

MAHA has a wide range of options for girls who wish to participate in the sport of hockey in Mankato. If you are 4 or 14, we have a place for you to play!

Learn To Skate - This program is designed for beginners at a young age (between 4 and 8) who have never tried the game before and want to do so in a relaxing atmosphere. This program is eight sessions long, and each session takes 30 minutes. The very basics of skating are taught in this program, which are designed to gain confidence in a smaller group setting. This program takes place in September and early October.

Girls Initiation Program - This program is set up for girl of ANY age who want to give the game of hockey a try without making a full commitment right away. Taking place on Sunday nights, we have one hour of ice where any/all girls interested are able to come out and learn the game in a very relaxed setting.

In House Program - For ages 5-8 (and some four year olds as well), this program is designed to skate with ALL other skaters at this age (boys and girls) in a beginner, non traveling, atmosphere. Players learn the basics of skating, stickhandling, team play, passing, shooting, etc. This season runs from Mid October through March.

Mite Girls Program - New to our association in 2007-2008 is an all-girl Mite team, called the Red Wings. This team is designed for any mite aged girl (7-8) who is looking to play on a team without boys. These girls will still be on the ice practicing with the boys, but their team will consist solely of girls. For more information please go to the "Mites" page under "Teams".

Traveling Program - Our traveling program is the next step after our in house program. We field a team of 10 and under as well as 12 and under, and when numbers warrent, 14 and under. For more information on our traveling program click the "programs" tab on the main page.
